Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Literally the worst brand of new work box I don’t understand what these engineers were thinking when making the knockouts for romex in these boxes. They never open how you want them to and they’re a pain to work with in general. Single gangs are near as bad as their other boxes 2 gang and up. I’ve been doing electrical for almost 10 years and I don’t know an electrician that actually prefers these boxes

Questions & Answers

Does P&S make a metal plate to attach to the back of their plastic boxes? Certain cities now want a metal plate on the back of the box to protect against sheet rock screws that miss the stud and get screwed into the back of the box.

Asked by: Tom
Thank you for your inquiry. We do not offer a plastic box that will include a metal bracket to protect the back side of the box.

Can I mount an S122R from the ceiling to hang a LED disc light form it or a smoke detector on it? The disc light weighs less than a smoke detector.

Asked by: Anonymous
The UL number is for this box but the rating is for 6 lbs. if mounted vertically. When dealing with inspectors who have little to no common sense every word matters!!
