Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic option I’m not actually using this product the way it’s intended. I run an IT department for a small company and was looking for a way to hide some Ethernet connections in the wall. This is perfect for my situation. I had to think outside the box for a way to hide multiple connections in various locations of our main office and this fits perfectly. I purchased the 9” wall kit with the 5” bracket mount included. I then mounted my 6 position Ethernet keystone plate to the bracket along with a mini 5 port switch that works by being powered over the Ethernet cable since I decided not to install power inside the enclosure. Works like a charm. I have a few cables coming in the enclosure and everything is hidden inside the wall. This also keeps the mini switch and Ethernet connections from being run into and damaged by regular cleaning activities or if the office is rearranged for any reason. It’s a bit in orthodox way of doing things but for this type of setup it is perfect.

Can this be mounted on a ceiling to hide cables and streaming boxes for a projector?

Asked by: Bryan
It can physically be done. Keep in mind that this enclosure has holes in the back to allow for mounting things. This may allow for insulation to fall through if this unit is in a ceiling facing a blown-in insulated space.

Hi, can this be mounted vertically in a retrofit application?

Asked by: biglou
Jeffrey is incorrect. In the included instructions it shows that it can be mounted vertically to the adjacent stud by simply drilling through the side of the enclosure. The only downside to this method is that you are only mounted on one stud and the box has a little more wiggle to it (assuming a normal 16" on center stud pattern).

Can your product install right above fireplace?  Is this ok for electrical inspection?  I see that it is rated 49 degree c.   What is the temperature outside of gas driven fireplace metal frame?   I like to know

I received my ENP0905-NA-V1. There's silver tape covering all the knockouts on one of the inner sides of the enclosure. What is the purpose of the tape?
