The 9-inch Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosure is engineered to provide storage of structured wiring and AV components. The ENP0900NA is constructed of Wi-Fi transparent material to manage wireless components and AV devices at point-of-use locations, like directly behind a TV or other media centers. It can also be used for structured wiring purposes, such as networking equipment, access points, switches and more. The ENP0900NA is compatible with devices like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, small network switches and more. Includes cover, trim ring and drywall clips, allowing for both new construction and retrofit installations.

Yes, this product cover and trim frame is paintable. A Plastic primer would be best to use before painting.

I don't like the gap in the door. Is there another door that has a solid front? Perhaps one that opens on a hinge?

We're sorry, there is not. The Gap is designed to allow cabling from inside the box to get out to the display it is mounted behind.

Can this be mounted sideways? If I have a 10" stud bay instead of standard 16" on-center studs. The 9.375" height would fit if I turn the box 90º. Is there any reason mounting it rotated 90º on its side would pose any problems?

The unit can be mounted in either orientation. Mounting it vertically as you suggest will require the unit to be attached using the drywall mounting tabs. There is no means to drive screws into the adjacent studs when turned vertical.

I would like to have the ability to easily pass low voltage cables (HDMI, speaker cables, etc) from this box to a smaller box below, the wall will have insulation. Is there a kit/recommended way to attach conduit for this purpose?
