Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as premium as the price suggests, still cool Cons: Looks great in a single switch installation, but for the money I expect perfection. The LEDs are not a consistent brightness with the standard and remote and touch switches. Even some of my other master touch switches are different brightness. This is really noticeable in my 5-gang box. The installed height is not flush with the standard touch switches (just 1-2 mm, but again: price). The WiFi integration is getting better, but could still use some work and needs to be re-setup once every few months. I have had to completely un-pair everything every time I decide to add another switch. Ordering from this website is a pain... apparently I am the only one that has a different mailing & billing address (they will call to confirm). Playing the email mailing list for coupon codes is annoying... Pros: Looks awesome, controlling with Google Assistant (Google Home or Android phone) is very convenient when it works. But the biggest thing is the ability to create "virtual circuits". Two lighting circuits in different locations can now be controlled with one switch, or an existing single switch can become a 3-way with the remote switches. For example: I have one switch controlling exterior lighting on my house and a detached garage that previously required going to the garage to turn on (the garage is about 50' from the switch and even on a separate electric service!). Overall, this product allows very impressive circuiting options without re-wiring your entire house.

Questions & Answers

For soffit light timers, we would need to purchase: one hub, one master, & applicable # swirches? Or is that wrong? We need 7 total timed outdoor light switches.

Asked by: Steph
You will need a Hub, and as many Masters as you have lighting loads to control. If you have 7 switches currently running the lights, you will need 7 masters. Remote switches are for having multiple switches control the same single load.

What is the chance/likelihood that interference would prevent communication between the master switch?

Asked by: Gawd of DIY
Interference, not as likely since this is 900MHz RF we are talking about. However, wall materials, metal backboxes and distance can all affect RFLC switch performance. Please reach out to tech support at 8669773901 Option 9 and we can help you further with these devices.

Hi. I am interested in being able to program outdoor soffit lights to come on at dusk and off at midnight. Can the WiFi switch be programmed to come on and go off at specific times by using the app?

Asked by: vm581
Yes, you can set your timed events(or scenes) through the Lighting Control APP and you would need the LC7001 hub as well.

Do you NEED the adorne hub to work with Google Home and Alexa or even work wirelessly at all or can you use any smart hub?

Asked by: GawdOfDIY
You will need the LC7001 hub to use the devices through the Legrand APP, Google Home, and Alexa.

What are the steps one need to follow to add a this light switch to the adorne hub?

Asked by: Grom007
All of your devices need to be on the same House ID to be picked up by the hub. Here is the link to the "how to" video showing the binding process: https://www.legrand.us/adorne/install/installation-videos/how-to-install-whole-house-lighting-house-binding.aspx

Bother the master and slave switch have an LED light in them to identify when the light is on or off. When they are paired up together and one is pushed, will that turn the LED light on the other on so that they are both on and lit?

Asked by: GawdOfDIY
Yes, both LED indicator lights on the master and remote should be lit the same(Lit when off and not lit when on).

So the maximum distance the wifi switch and remote can communicate is around 10 to 12 feet line of sight and 15 feet diagonally without having to add a wifi repeater. This setup is in my front entryway hall with the switch and remote 14 apart.

Asked by: Eweneek1
The RF Lighting Control devices offer a default range of 100 ft. between devices. Using a MRR2-G repeater extends this range by 100 ft. and the system supports up to two repeaters for a maximum range of 300 ft. between devices.

What's the maximum distance allowed between a wifi switch and a wifi remote switch? Mine would be about 55 feet apart with the hub in the middle of that distance. Trying to control a wireless outlet not working correctly paired to a wireless dimmer.

Asked by: Eweneek1
The RFCL range on the adorne wi-fi devices is 100 sq ft and we also have repeaters(MRR2G - 2 max) that can be added to expand the signal up too 300 sq ft.
