I’m replacing an existing switch/light, but your 692 is wired differently - the old one was wired just like a standard switch with the neon light coming on if the switch was on. How do I wire this one the same way.
The 692 Pilot Light switch requires a separate wire to the silver terminal. Your HOT wire goes to the brass terminal below it and you LOAD wire gets connected to one of the terminals on the other side.

Literature with the non-ground 692-W single pole switch dues not specify a ground in order for the pilot light to work. Please confirm as the light is not working. - Thanks
Thank you for your question regarding the Legrand 692W Pilot lighted switch. This switch does not require a Ground connection but it does require a separate Neutral wire for the Pilot light to light when the switch is in the ON position. All Pilot lighted switches will require a Neutral wire to function correctly.
