Questions & Answers

I have a selctive call system in my home. All units ha e power and appear to function but no sound is coming out of any of them. Not even a beep. I’ve tried the usual power cycli g and it didn’t fix anything.

Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately that indicates that the Selective Call Intercom distribution module has likely failed. The only option is to go into settings/installer settings/factory reset and attempt to factory reset all settings. If this restores sound, great! If not, the system has failed, and no replacement stock exists.

I have an intercom system that uses the Legrand IC5010 On-Q Selective Call 8 Location Distribution Module. The system is about 12 years old and is not working any longer. I believe that the distribution module has failed. Where can I get another one?

Asked by: Dave
Unfortunately, Legrand no longer makes the Selective Call Intercom system or any other replacement system. Please accept our apologies.

How do I get rid of the "unit not discovered" display

Asked by: Stef
Unit not discovered indicates that something major has failed within your Selective Call Intercom system. Locate the IC5010 selective call intercom distribution module. Remove power from it, wait ten seconds, then reapply power. If the system continues to have unit not discovered, please reach out to our technical support team at (866)977-3901 Option 9 for additional troubleshooting. Please note that this system is discontinued and no replacement parts are available from Legrand.

If I am not using the video feature, can I just use a standard netgear switch instead of this unit?

Asked by: EAC1
No. Our room units are designed to be controlled by the IC5010. The intercom system is not a network based system, however the video from the door can be introduced to a network via our CM2002 video network module.

What causes a high-pitched humming after all I connected

Asked by: Wayne
Hello, This system features a balanced audio design so it generally should not experience significant humming unless there's an external issue. If the CAT5 cables is run in a specific way, it could create an antenna situation which may cause hum on the system. Other than that, there may be an electrical interference issue if the CAT5/6 was run too close to the electrical in the home. I would recommend contacting our Technical Support team at 1-800-224-4162, Option 3 for Support and Option 2 for On-Q. Thank you.
