Questions & Answers
Is there a cord-end for this receptacle that is right angle?
Hello, While there isn't a right angle plug that would fit this receptacle, you can use the right angle adaptor (L2030AN) with the L630P.

The connection is 3wires. Is it the two hot legs and a ground leg or can it be a neutral leg?
The proper answer to this question depends on the wire you’re using if it’s 10-2 (that’s one black wire, one white wire, and one bare copper ground wire) you need to use the white wire as a hot wire so wrap black or red tape around the white wire inside the receptacle box signifying that it’s a hot wire do the same thing inside the panel box as well then hook both black wire and your taped up white wire into the circuit breaker and your ground into the ground bar.
If you’re using 10-3 (that’s one black wire, one red wire, one white wire, and one bare copper ground wire) use the black and red wire as your hits and hook them up to both brass screws on the receptacle and the ground wire to the green screw cap off the white wire at both ends.

I have purchased the L6-30R outlet. I know that it takes 2 hot lines and 1 ground. I am re working an old dryer outlet and was wondering what to do with the current neutral wire. Add it to the ground? Or cap it off?
The Neutral is not required for the L630R receptacle so you would cap it off.

The instructions say "Connect hot wires to the brass terminal screws, neutral to the SILVER terminal screw and ground to the green terminal screw". But... there is no silver terminal screw. So what does the white neutral wire get attached to?
Hello,
This device L6-30R does not require a neutral. It is wired with 2 HOTs and 1 ground.
Hope this helps,
Have a great day
