Legrand® Expands Wattstopper® Architectural Dimming Platform with Solutions that Enhance User Experience and Reduce Complexity
PHILADELPHIA, MAY 10, 2017, LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL – Legrand, North & Central America and its Eliot Program present two new additions to the Wattstopper architectural dimming platform that ease design, project mobilization, installation, and first-use within projects. Showing at LIGHTFAIR International 2017 in Booth # 1841, the platform delivers on precision dimming, simplicity, adaptability, and increasing energy savings.
Enhance End-User Experience: The Wattstopper Commercial Equinox User Interface comes installed on Equinox touchscreens or downloadable as an app for mobile devices. It features intuitive navigation and a simple user experience that make it easy for any level user to control the most complex lighting systems. It solves usability, adaptability, and programming pain points that plague current lighting system interfaces. Leveraging industry-best design and programming software, it gives unlimited options for designing a lighting scene or personalized control scenario, and it adapts with the needs of the space.
Simplify Design: The Wattstopper Lighting Control and Automation Panel (LCAP) with Main Lug combines the best-in-class dimming panel with a circuit breaker panel to provide an all-in-one solution that is easy to specify. The Main Lug panel is compact, easily fitting into smaller electrical rooms or in areas with space constraints. It arrives pre-wired, making it easy to install by reducing wiring time. The Main Lug panel supports a variety of voltages and circuit types.
“The rollout of our new architectural dimming products shows our commitment to solutions that deliver on the user experience from design to operation,” said Jon Null, Architectural Dimming Product Marketing Manager at Legrand. “Our simple and intuitive Commercial Equinox User Interface and all-in-one solution like the Main Lug panel make this platform really shine.”
The Wattstopper architectural dimming platform includes easy-to-install preconfigured panels that offer high-density, fully configurable dimming for all lighting technologies and a range of simple and intuitive user interfaces.
Legrand Eliot Program
Expansion of the Wattstopper architectural dimming platform ties to the larger context of Legrand’s Eliot (Electricity + IoT) program in North America. Eliot is a global Legrand IoT program that brings together Legrand's worldwide expertise to advance connectivity and intelligence in the built environment, mobilize Legrand’s capabilities around the world, and speed development of Legrand connected devices wherever the Internet of Things can enhance value for all users.
Products, systems, and services under Legrand’s Eliot program, including DLM, adhere to three important principles:
1. The products and solutions must enhance value by simplifying usage, facilitating maintenance.
2. They must be intuitive and easy to install and operate, which is part of Legrand’s DNA.
3. And finally, they must respect the user. Consistent with Legrand values, Eliot products, systems, and services will preserve the confidentiality of user’s data.
These critical principles shape how Legrand is approaching innovation under the Eliot program.
