Through the Better Communities program, and in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council’s Center for Green Schools, Legrand associates help K-12 and higher education institutions reduce their environmental impact and become healthier learning environments by improving waste, water and energy management, and encouraging sustainability literacy through a combination of volunteerism, monetary and product donations.736 volunteer hours spent developing sustainability-related partnerships and projects, including 18 completed Green Apple Days of Service events.

Legrand employees worked with 23 students from Hartford Public High School to build a community garden shed for Green Apple Day of Service.
Raritan employees celebrated Green Apple Day of Service with Central Jersey College Prep by donating and distributing 3-stream recycling bins in the elementary schools classrooms.
Remote employees from the Chicago area installed Legrand product at Waters Elementary Schools to help improve energy efficiency.
