Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Apple HomeKit integration This product does offer basic control of your lights via their app. However... if you are expecting integration with Apple HomeKit and Siri this product is not compatible and extremely out of date. It’s about time this got replaced with an updated version for everyone waiting for HomeKit integration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Remote features and Alexa integration broken As of mid-2019, when Legrand switched their cloud provider from Artik to the Legrand cloud, all the remote features broke. Cannot control your lights from the app when you are not home (i.e. not on your home Wi-Fi network). Alexa integration is broken. Sometimes the Alexa commands work, but 90% of the time they don't. Even disabling and re-enabling the Legrand skill in the Alexa app doesn't fix it. Factory resetting the hub doesn't fix it. Nothing fixes it, the Legrand cloud is broken. Thousands of dollars worth of renovating the house with "smart Wi-Fi" switches suddenly became worthless. It's worth noting that before the cloud switch, things worked flawlessly. Alexa integration never failed. Remote control through the Legrand app worked just fine. I hope this means that the product will eventually deliver on its promised features through software updates some day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Review - Devices vs Software Well, lets start with the hardware. The switches are really beautiful. They look great and perform great - NO complaints. The Lighting controller generally works fine as well. Not really any issues with it. Sort of like a router - set it and forget it. The SOFTWARE on the other hand is not great. The conversion to the Legrand cloud was painful but I understand it was necessary. It has gotten better but I still find that there are times when I am away from my house that I have to trigger lights two or three times before they respond which kind of defeats the purpose of haveing a lighting control system. The app itself is old looking, outdated and has very limited functionality. I noticed that Legrand has started to provide newere apps BUT they don't work with the Adorne wifi lights - HUH? Why would you not make your new apps work with your most expensive, flagship switches? Also, they support Alexa and Google but NOT Apple Homekit? No, for that you have to once again switch to a different range of Legrand switches that are horribly ugly. C'mon, you can't update this Lighting controller to work with Homekit? If not then introduce a new one that does. When I contacted Legrand they fed me a line that the Adorne line is for upscale home automation systems but if that is true why did I purchase a bunch of the switches at Lowes? So 5 stars for the look and quality of the hardware - 1 star for lack of backward compatability and a poor user experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work with alexa or smartthings Worked fine with the Samsung cloud and then that died. Works with alexa sporadically for a day or two and "L2" starts flashing amber Horrible!! Invested so much money worked for two year and now nothing, works only locally!!!! Horrible!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works only by itself. No smart speaker! Worked fine with the Samsung cloud and then that died. The Legrand cloud hates everything. No Alexa or HomeKit. I would love hear how anyone can make it work reliably with Alexa again. Horrible!!

Questions & Answers

I have a house full of radiant RF switches controlled by an LC7001. Are any of these new switches backward compatible with this system? I’d like to add some more circuits to the system.

Asked by: Mike G
Mike - The new Netatmo devices uses a mesh wifi system to connect. The new devices will not be compatible with the LC7001 controller. I have two homes and was just about completed installing devices that sync with the LC7001 controller for one home when Legrand announced the new technology. The fear I have is when the LC7001 fails (it is discontinued) I will no longer be able to remotely control the WiFi devices I had installed. I have started installing the Netatmo devices at my other house. A better system, easier to manage remotely. The LC7001 system only allowed the user to actually change schedules if you were on the local WiFi network...and when you are remote to the location, it is not possible. Best Regards, Bill H.

So given than LC7001 is discontinued, if mine fails (i.e. hardware failure) and I cannot find a replacement, do I have to switch all of my switches and dimmers from the old Adorne to the new Adorne w/ Netatmo switches/dimmers?

Asked by: Lars Gunner
I think that’s correct, unfortunately. There is apparently no bridge between the old and new stuff. I’m in the same boat, hoping nothing breaks or I’ll have to replace everything.

Hi! I've been having a lot of trouble connecting to the lighting controller through the app. About 80% of the time, I get the system not discovered when I log into the app. Ggreen lights are on in the back.Remote connection won't control the lights.

What is the replacement for the discontinued LC7001?

Asked by: Eweneek1
There is not a replacement for this product. The RFLC product line is being phased out completely. The Adorne collection has a new product line called Adorne with Netatmo. These switches have additional functionality including the ability to connect to Apple HomeKit. These switches will not connect to the old hub, nor use the same app, however.

Does it work with Savant home automation?

Asked by: Christian G
We do not officially support Savant as an integration partner with the LC7001.

The LC7001 Whole House Lighting Controller instruction sheet at step #3 says if you have an amber status LED light then the lights have not been discovered. It doesn't say what to do if that is the case, which is where I am stuck!

Asked by: Marty9659
All RFLC lighting devices must be properly house and group bounded prior to the installation of the LC7001. If the House ID hasn't been set yet(amber led on devices), then the LC7001 will not be able to detect them. I have attached the steps to settings the House ID.
