Questions & Answers

What does it mean if the red led is on.

Asked by: Darrell
A solid red LED on an LMSW (Digital Lighting Management Switch) typically indicates one of the following issues: Faulty Hardware or Connection Issues 🔹 A damaged LMSW switch, defective DLM cable, or a faulty room controller can cause the solid red LED. 🔹 Testing with another known working switch can help diagnose the issue. Troubleshooting Steps: ✅ Check the DLM Network Connections: Ensure all RJ45 cables are securely connected. ✅ Inspect the Room Controller: Make sure the LMRC is powered and functioning. ✅ Power Cycle the System: Turn Off and back On the breaker to recycle the room. ✅ Use a Different Port or Replace the Cable: If available, try another port or swap the cable to rule out a bad connection. ✅ Factory Reset the Switch: If needed, hold the configuration button for about 10 seconds to reset settings. ✅ Swap with a Known Working LMSW: If another switch works fine, the original may be defective. Call Wattstopper Technical Support: A technician can custom tailor a solution based on the specific issue being reported.

Asked by: Steven Schmelz
Hello, It sounds like we have three separate power packs, we can use one power packs red/blue/black and the other two packs we will cap the red 24v off and in parallel connect the blues and blacks.

Are these occupancy sensors exterior rated? If not, what occupancy sensors are?

Asked by: Enrica Cotellessa
The Wattstopper CI-305 is not exterior rated. For outdoor applications, I recommend looking into the FSP line of sensors, which are designed for outdoor use.

I have 3 occupancy sensors that do seem to shut off the lights when unoccupied. I see the red and green light flickering meaning we clearly have power.

Asked by: Serge St Pierre
The red and green are activity LEDs for the sensors, if the LEDs continue to flash when you stand still, then the sensor is likely false tripping. I suggest to start with placement, assure all sensors are 5-6' away from air supplies this is common to false trip the sensors causing lights to either stay ON or OFF.
