High/Low PIR Fixture Sensor Low Voltage, 12-32VDC
FSP-201B
Wattstopper
Bazaarvoice SAP Hybris Integration Version 2.8.1
The FSP-2x1B sensors provide multi-level control based on motion and/or daylight contribution. They control 0-10 VDC LED drivers or dimming ballasts, as well as non-dimming ballasts and, with an FSP-Lx Lens, are rated for wet and cold locations. All control parameters are adjustable via a wireless configuration tool capable of storing and transmitting sensor profiles. The FSP-2x1B family is available in three configurations for mounting inside a fixture, to the outside of a fixture via a 1/2”” knockout, or to a pole.

Questions & Answers
Can the FSP-221B be considered a "Fail-On" device like some PE controls? Seems like some failure modes could be Fail-On (e.g., coil or coil driver failure and an NC contact) and other failure modes might be Fail-Off (e.g,, microcontroller, software)
While the FSP-221B may exhibit "Fail-On" behavior in certain hardware failure modes (such as a specific coil or driver failure), it is not a guaranteed state. Because a failure could also originate from the microcontroller or software—potentially resulting in a "Fail-Off" condition—the device is not rated as a "Fail-On" control.
To ensure lights remain energized during a component failure or a loss of normal power, a UL 924-listed device must be implemented. We recommend using the ELCU-200 for any applications where the lighting must be designated as emergency or guaranteed to remain on.

Is FSP221B listed to UL773A and if not, it there a reason it is not listed per UL773A?
No, the FSP-221B is not listed under UL773A.
Why is it not listed under this specific standard?
UL773A is a "non-industrial" standard typically used for simple, external "dusk-to-dawn" photocells. Because the FSP-221B is a high-performance industrial sensor designed to be mounted inside or on a fixture, it is certified under the more rigorous UL508 and UL244A standards. These ratings better reflect its ability to handle high-voltage (up to 480V) and advanced 0-10V dimming.

Is there a specification for short test?
For a fairly quick functional test, you can simply set:
High Mode to 10
Low Mode to 1
Time Delay to 30 seconds
Cutoff to 1 minute
Sens. to Low
Setpoint, Fade up, and Fade down, and Photocell to DIS
=======================
This will turn lights to full bright with motion, then to 10% brightness after 30 seconds of no motion, then OFF after an additional 1 minute of No Motion. Motion will again turn lights on to full brightness.
Photocell can then be adjusted to verify photocell functionality.

About your mounting height recommendation of 40' max., is your device still functional when mounted at 50'? What is the impact on the operation?
The sensor can be mounted at 50 ft but recommended and tested mounted at 40ft. The footprint of the sensing field will increase in size and be less effective. It should still be able to trigger the lights but also should be tested on location for actual coverage and proper operation.
