Questions & Answers
What does it mean if the red led is on.
A solid red LED on an LMSW (Digital Lighting Management Switch) typically indicates one of the following issues:
Faulty Hardware or Connection Issues
🔹 A damaged LMSW switch, defective DLM cable, or a faulty room controller can cause the solid red LED.
🔹 Testing with another known working switch can help diagnose the issue.
Troubleshooting Steps:
✅ Check the DLM Network Connections: Ensure all RJ45 cables are securely connected.
✅ Inspect the Room Controller: Make sure the LMRC is powered and functioning.
✅ Power Cycle the System: Turn Off and back On the breaker to recycle the room.
✅ Use a Different Port or Replace the Cable: If available, try another port or swap the cable to rule out a bad connection.
✅ Factory Reset the Switch: If needed, hold the configuration button for about 10 seconds to reset settings.
✅ Swap with a Known Working LMSW: If another switch works fine, the original may be defective.
Call Wattstopper Technical Support: A technician can custom tailor a solution based on the specific issue being reported.

Can I mount the legrand DT-300 on the wall instead of the ceiling?
Installing a ceiling sensor on a wall could lead to several issues, mainly related to the sensor's functionality and effectiveness:
1. Detection Range: Ceiling sensors are typically designed to detect motion in a specific vertical or downward direction. Installing them on a wall could alter their detection field, potentially limiting their range or causing them to miss certain areas.
2. Field of View: The sensor may no longer have an optimal field of view if it's placed in a non-typical location. Ceiling-mounted sensors are often aimed to cover the largest area possible, whereas wall placement could lead to blind spots or decreased coverage.
3. Sensor Calibration: Many ceiling sensors are factory-calibrated for specific orientations. Mounting them on a wall could interfere with their preset configuration, causing them to behave unpredictably or perform less accurately.
4. Aesthetic/Structural Issues: Depending on the type of sensor, mounting it on a wall could also lead to aesthetic mismatches or structural challenges, such as incorrect wiring or a less sleek appearance.
5. Misuse of Technology: Ceiling sensors, like occupancy sensors, are intended to detect people moving under them. If you mount them on a wall, they may no longer function as intended, resulting in poor performance or false triggers.
You might consider looking at a DT-200.

can this dim 0-10 volt drivers or is it just adjusting sensor to preset hi and low trim levels. I need to be able to dim from 100 down to about 5% if needed.
Hello,
The FS-205 occupancy sensors turn lighting ON and OFF based on occupancy and ambient light levels. It does not have continues dimming

can I wire these together so that when one area comes on they all come on. I have 3 currently servicing a barber shop. when 1 area comes on I want them all to come on, Is this possible with the DT 305? If so how?
Hello,
It sounds like we have three separate power packs, we can use one power packs red/blue/black and the other two packs we will cap the red 24v off and in parallel connect the blues and blacks.

Are these occupancy sensors exterior rated? If not, what occupancy sensors are?
The Wattstopper CI-305 is not exterior rated. For outdoor applications, I recommend looking into the FSP line of sensors, which are designed for outdoor use.
