ELIOT, a Global IoT Program
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of uniquely identifiable endpoints (or “things”) that contain embedded technology to sense, collect, communicate and, exchange data locally or with external environments, without human interaction affecting our daily life. As IoT is becoming an indisputable reality, Legrand intends to speed up the development of its range of connected products and services. Launched in 2015, the Eliot program aims to inject the power of communication into Legrand’s products and services, wherever the Internet of Things can improve the user experience. Eliot also supports the development of suitable digital infrastructures for buildings and is doing everything it can to promote interoperability. The aim is to deliver additional benefits for all private and professional users, whether they are end users or installers.
ELIOT's Three Principles:
The aim of Eliot is not only the production of connected devices. The communication capacity added to the product should increase the benefit for the user.
Legrand products are characterized by their simplicity, and ease of use and installation. Our connected devices are also very intuitive.
Consistent with its values, respect for the user is an imperative for Legrand. Eliot thus contributes to preserving the confidentiality of data.
