Questions & Answers

What dimmer/occupancy combo switches can be used with the BZ-150?

Asked by: Sondria D.
The BZ-150 is compatible with any 24V occupancy or vacancy sensor designed to operate with a power pack. For dimming functionality, the only available option currently supported for use with a power pack is the DCLV2, a 0-10V low-voltage dimmer switch.

Can the Bz-150 be used to control 20amp receptacle circuits

Asked by: marc
No, the Wattstopper BZ-150 is not rated for controlling receptacle circuits. It is designed primarily for lighting control applications or a motor load. For 20A plug load control, the BZ-200 and BZ-250 are appropriate choices, as they are specifically rated for plug loads at 20A. Additionally, it is generally recommended to operate at least 10% below the maximum rated load for reliability and longevity.

How many Spencer can put in one bz 150

Asked by: Joe
The number of sensors that can be connected depends on the specific type of sensor you are using. Each sensor has different voltage and power requirements, which can impact the total number that can be supported. I recommend referring to the installation instructions provided with the sensor, as they typically specify the maximum number of sensors that can be connected to the power pack.

Can you have several LVS-101 switches control three power packs with separate 120V sources and have functionality like like a 3-way switch.

Asked by: Kevin
Hello, use 1 power packs +24vdc to power the switch, and run a cable from the switches SW1 to each power pack, total of 3 wires meeting to the power packs grey.

Can the BZ-150 power pack be reclassified and have the control wiring for the LVS-101 switches and DT-300 occupancy sensors ran with line voltage as long as the line voltage is not in the same junction box as the LVS switches and occupancy sensors.

Asked by: Kevin
Hello, Running LV wiring with Line voltage wiring in the same conduit can possibly cause unwanted interference. Using shielded cable may help, but we do not recommend based on many state codes that prohibit this.

Is this power pack damp or wet location rated? If not how can this rating be achieved?

Asked by: Alex
The Wattstopper BZ-50 power pack is not rated for damp or wet locations. It is UL 2043 plenum rated, which means it is suitable for use in air-handling spaces, but it does not have a rating for exposure to moisture. To achieve a damp or wet location rating, you would need to install the BZ-50 power pack inside a suitable enclosure that is rated for such environments.
