Questions & Answers

Can a jumper be used between Line A and Line B of the dimming module if the load is not high; in an effort to save on the amount of circuit breakers?

Asked by: Shaun Thomas
Using a jumper between Line A and Line B is possible, provided that: 1. The total load remains within spec – As long as the amperage limits per line feed (16A max) and per module (32A max) are not exceeded, the jumper should work without issue. 2. Troubleshooting may be harder – Since multiple loads will be on a single circuit, diagnosing issues down the line (like a fault on one load) could be more challenging. 3. Avoid putting two loads on one output – This aligns with best practices to prevent overloading a single channel.

Hello, Does this dimmer module has the ability to dim LED bulbs

Asked by: Marlon King
Hi Marlon, The Universal Dimming Modules are designed for 120-277VAC (UDM08-EM) and 120VAC only (UDM08-EM-II) electrical systems. Both versions provide exceptional support of low and high-wattage LED and CFL lighting loads between 2-1200W@120VAC. UDM08-EM also supports these loads between 5-2770W@277VAC.
