I have an On Q internet extender in use. I want to add a password to the in internet supplied by the extender ( it is called Default) How do i add a password?

I do apologize for the issues you are experiencing. However, the product in question that you posted about (the HDMI extender) does not have any type of default name or password. That sounds like its coming from a wireless access point or wireless extender. If so, that may still be something we can help with but I would need to know the part number of the WAP you are using.

Will this extender work if there is one or more switch on the network between the transmitter and receiver but still within the total distance limitation? Is it TCP/IP based? I do not have an end to end run between the two locations. Thank you.
Hello,
The longer the distance and more product in between, the more the unit will struggle to display the picture. Generally, CAT5 cables will give you about 50ft worth of distance. CAT6 will provide up to 100ft. Adding a switch within those distance limitations shouldn't be too major issue but I would be careful in surpassing those distance requirements.
