For Legrand 1D80RS Open Ladder Cable Tray, is the product approved for installation in a Seismic Zone D area, specifically Livermore, CA. I see there are some bracing restraints available. Thank you.
Cable tray itself does not carry any seismic rating. There is no seismic testing or seismic test method for the cable tray itself. Cable tray is treated just like piping, conduit, and ductwork. Standard products are utilized, and the bracing system is designed and evaluated for each installation. In the United States only structural and support members have seismic ratings. The same tray used in standard applications would be used in seismic applications.
