The aluminum I-beam design of ITray is perfect for industrial installations with large diameter cables in long span situations, minimizing total tray width and creating a smooth transition between straight sections and fittings. A structural offset in the sidewall creates strong, mid-span splices that need fewer supports. Each splice snaps in place and stays without holding, Additionally, only four bolts are needed for each splice reducing hardware needs by 50%. These features allow Itray to be installed up to 30% faster than standard tray.

Can the aluminum hold down clamps be used with a hot dipped galvanized ladder tray?
It would be unusual to use aluminum hold down clamps with hot dipped galvanized ladder tray. They would function; however, standard practice would be to use steel or stainless hold down clamps. If dissimilar metals is a concern; Cablofil offers an isolation pad; IP34.

Where can I find the UL certificate for this part number? I've got a customer that's requesting it.
Cable tray is UL classified as an equipment ground conductor. UL performs an electrical continuity test across splice plates and their corresponding side rails. There is no UL standard for any other cable tray component; including hold down clamps.
If you would like a copy of Cablofil's UL file, please contact Cablofil tech support at technical.support-CAB@legrand.us.

When used as a cable tray hold down strap is it listed to be used on the outside or the inside of the cable tray? Or both outside or inside?
Cablofil's 1893 hold down clamp may be installed on the inside or outside flanges. The clamp profile is shallower than the cable tray rungs so there is no interference when pulling cable. If the tray type is solid bottom than the hold down clamps must be installed on the outside flanges since there will be no access to the inside flanges.

Greetings, Does this clamp certified for seismic loads? The installation will be in Los Angeles, CA. Thanks.
Cable tray hold down clamps do not carry seismic ratings. There is no seismic testing or seismic test method for cable tray products. The bracing system is designed and evaluated for each installation. This is typically completed by the design engineering firm. Cablofil does not have the information required as it has little to do with the cable tray and everything to do with the support beams, anchors, and bracing.
