Cheap door for expensive box
We purchased 15 of these for an education building renovation and have had nothing but problems with them. The hinge on the doors is held on with double sided tape. The bottom door does not open wide enough to support a bundle of only (6) CAT6A cables plus one power cable without putting stress on the hinge. Combo these two, and the doors have just started falling off their hinges. The pins securing the door to the box at the hinge are tiny and fall out regularly if the door is off its hinge.
The hinge needs to be better secured to the door itself and the opening at the bottom needs to be about twice as large to accommodate 8-gang worth of cables entering the box.
I am hoping Legrand makes some kind of brush plate style door for the 8-gang box that has a wider opening.
