Questions & Answers

Hello, Your 6AT poke thru floor box says its fire rated up to 3 hours. However, the only UL listing I was able to locate, states its only listed for up to 2 hours. FYI, the UL document is CEYY.R8209 which is dated 2-3-2015. Is there an updated listing?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, All 6AT poke thrus have a 2 hour fire rating except for the models that have 3H at the end of the part number indicating a 3 hour rating. We do have an updated UL listing. Please e-mail Technical Support at technical.support@legrand.us and we will reply back with the updated listing.

Hi How does the poke thru maintain fire rating without all the housing compartment being used. Does the 2 foam pieces expand on the bottom of poke thru compartments?

Asked by: Sean cawley
Hello Sean, A portion of the body is constructed of intumescent material which is the material that helps maintain the floors fire rating. In addition, each bottom housing assembly also contains intumescent material. Any unused compartments of the poke thru should have a blank device plate installed.
