Questions & Answers

I am planning to put about 30 feet of the 2900L8 raceway on a ceiling at church. All your illustrations show walls, but I really don't have a choice. Do you recommend 2900L8 for ceiling mount with the supplied adhesive backing only?

Asked by: finn21
Hello, Our raceway products are listed a "surface" mount products. The electrical code doesn't get into all of the specific surfaces out there so if you're unsure of the location it would be best to consult the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for approval of the installation. They may require you screw it to the surface rather than relying on the tape to hold it upside down with the weight of the cables inside as it might be considered a safety hazard.
