Basically you unscrew it slightly to lift the small metal clamp inside, insert wire, screw it down. Simple enough. Except more than half the time the screw doesn't push the clamp down, or it only goes part way and holds the cable loosely, the cable falls out, you try again, but then the screw backs in and out but the clamp does not move. It is insanely easy to "break" these such that once the screw does not control the clamp anymore you have to throw it away and use another one. Design is fine but execution is horrible, these are very poorly made, very disappointing.
