Are they outdoor rated? Do they need a cover?

Asked by: mike40cal
I believe they are only meant for inside use. Potentially it could be housed in a weather proof housing and used outside. There are better choices for outside use.

The GFCI receptacle will fit into a standard size box.

Is the GFI compatible with the under cabinet mounting Adorne tracks?

Asked by: Mike
Not unless you can find the "FRAME" that is required for the outlet to fit in.  The Adorne under the cabinet lighting systems is not installer friendly at all and this website officers little to no support. Never again will I purchase anything from this company.

This GFCI outlet has been installed and operating correctly for about 4 years. Today the GFCI tripped and will not reset. The Reset button is out, the Trip Indicator light is illuminated, but the Reset button will not stay in when pressed.

Asked by: Mark
I had the same problem and mine showed signs of melting as well. I had to replace the GFCI outlet. Lasted about a year. Apparently Legrand has a design/build problem.

Which wallplate would I use for your two outlet GFCI from your adorn collection, because it looks like the GFCI outlet takes the space of one gang. (I need it in black)

Asked by: gnthill
If you are installing one GFCI in a 1 gang electrical box, you would need a 1 gang wallplate. We have Black Ink and Graphite in the Nylon plates: https://www.legrand.us/adorne/search.aspx?q=awp1g2nk4 https://www.legrand.us/adorne/search.aspx?q=awp1g2gr6

I live in California and current code states receptacles must be Tamper resistant AFCI/GFCI for use in kitchens & baths. Does this meet that requirement?

Asked by: CaliGal
This is a GFCI only receptacle(not AFCI).
