Single piece moveable and stationary contact arms with oversized silver cadmium buttons provides excellent continuity and long life. Made in USA. Wire pockets and thick wall arc barriers. Cold-rolled steel NEMA 3R enclosure with polyester urethane finish conforms to OSHA lockout requirements. Type 3R enclosure has 2-1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch concentric knockouts on bottom. Accepts #4 AWG. cULus listed.

I just purchased this toggle switch and wanted to confirm this can be used to turn a single 230volt outlet on/off via starting a 230v 3 hp 15 amp compressor with 30a breaker in the main box? If so how would I wire the 2hots and 1 ground?

Thank you for your question regarding Legrand PS30AC2HP switch. This switch is only rated for up to 2HP on 120V or 277V circuit.
