Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home owner Exactly what I needed color and all. But it does not come with the locator light even though it appears it does from picture. You have to purchase separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light switch/electric outlet This device is the perfect match for a space with no receptacle nearby! It was just what I needed to add a receptacle where I already had a switch.

There is no tab on the back, there was one on the side between the two hot (black) connections.  I pulled that but the outlet still turns off with the switch.  How do i keep the outlet live at all times and control the three way light with the switch

I tried to install this on one of my single pole that have a hot and neutral wire each only. The neutral/load goes to the light but has no return to the switch. How do I go about wiring this so that the outlet work by itself and switch controls the light.

Asked by: Mr.DIY
The RCD38TR requires 3 wires(not including ground) to function your light and receptacle separately. Hot - power from breaker panel to one of the Black terminals, 1Pole - gets wire from your light Neutral - White Neutral wire from breaker panel If White Neutral is not available in the box, this will not function correctly.

Do you have this same product but with smart control of the switch? This is in a garage with a refrigerator plugged into the outlet and the overhead light on the switch. Want to voice command the light, but leave the refrigerator outlet on.

Asked by: mike1898
This combination device is not available with Smart control capabilities.

Can I place this on a 20A circuit downstream of a 20A GFCI outlet?

Asked by: BJB2002
I installed the same switched outlet in our kitchen to shut off the power of the coffee machine and the toaster.  It is installed on the same power lines that a 20A GFCI outlet (upstream) and another normal outlet (downstream) and it still work perfectly after almost 12months. You should follow the instructions from the documentation included to connect the lines for the downstream outlet if you want it to be switchable or not (both options available). Legrand product quality is much better than some cheaper switch/outlets that you can buy from Home Depot / Lowes. We replaced all the switches/outlets from our 20-years old house and it feels now much safer and also up-to-date

So I’m trying to wire this up and I have 3 separate wires all being ran @ 12/2, so I have  3 black wires 3 white wires And 3 ground wires, what goes where

Asked by: Studz2989
The correct wiring depends on how many HOT wires you have and if you are using the switch as SP or 3way. I would suggest contacting Technical Support for assistance with your application.
