What is recommended torque setting for wire terminal screws on 8300 hospital grade receptacles? Need for inspection.
Thank you for your inquiry. The required torque for the terminal screws on Pass & Seymour 15, 20, and 30 Amp receptacles is 14-18 inch pounds.

I use your plugtail hospital grade outlets in all my patient rooms at hospital. I wanted to know as per your manufacture recommendations all the testing and maintenance requirements for these outlets. Thanks
It's recommended to test your receptacles after initial installation, replacement or servicing of the device. But ultimately you'll need to verify with your local code authority as it relates to frequency and specific testing requirements.

Can you get the receptacles in color Yellow or orange That are Hospital grade tamper resistant? The reason is the yellow is to represent Life Safety; Orange is critical Branch circuits; Green is Equipment Branch.
Please review the following part number regarding our Hospital Grade Tamper Resistant receptacles in the color orange.

Unfortunately, we do not have a Hospital Grade TR receptacle in yellow at this time.

What are your recommended testing intervals for your hospital grade receptacles?
Thank you for our question regarding Pass & Seymour Hospital Grade receptacle(Model # 8300W).
Per UL, our retention testing is done at time of manufacturing(see attached).
There are many variables that can affect the testing intervals:
- the (test interval) is typically determined by the healthcare facility's specs & standards
- the amount of use & abuse will dictate (test interval)
