Questions & Answers

The receptable light is solid red but will not reset

Asked by: David
Thank you for your inquiry. A solid red indicator means that the GFCI has detected a ground fault. We recommend reviewing your wiring before the GFCI and/or removing any appliance that might be on the circuit to determine if the GFCI continues to trip. If you have any other questions or comments, please get in touch with us at (800) 223-4185 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST or by email at Tech.Support@legrand.us.

GFCI detected a fault downstream, and tripped. The self-test indicator is solid red. Does that mean the GFCI will need to be replaced?

Asked by: MartC
Hello, This is a Self-Test GFCI Receptacle with SafeLock Protection™; it conducts an automatic test every three seconds, ensuring it’s always ready to protect. If the device fails the test, the indicator light flashes to signal that the GFCI should be replaced. It also has our proven SafeLock Protection feature: if critical components are damaged and protection is lost, power to this receptacle, and any downstream receptacles will be disconnected. Flashing Red = Replace GFCI. Solid Red = GFCI must be reset. Best Regards, Technical Support

Asked by: Cyberfingers
I'm not sure what you mean by "multi-outlets" but would be happy to make a recommendation to fit your application. I'd suggest calling in to Technical Support (844-957-3783) at your convenience so we can assist you.
