Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Awesome Dimmer I purchased this dimmer as a replacement for some some other smart wi-fi dimmers I have in my home. After having installed and used the Legrand dimmers for a couple of months, I can now say that I intend to replace all of my existing wi-fi dimmers (approximately 50) with Radiant - Smart Tru-Universal Dimmers. Without taking time to discuss my complaints with the other dimmers I will say that the Legrand dimmers address every one of my concerns with the other product. In particular, here is what I like about the Legrand dimmers: - Works seamlessly with Homekit. The setup was totally uneventful (what a difference!). - Connects directly to your home wi-fi without the need for a bridge. - Powered directly off of wall current and doesn't require batteries. - Works in 3-way and 4-way applications. When used in conjunction with the Legrand Remote Dimmers it can control multi-way switch installations. And the remote dimmers do not require batteries or the use some weird bluetooth signal. - All of the wiring connections are internal to the switch housing and not exposed on the outside of the housing - this practically eliminates the possibility of accidentally shorting one of the connections on the dimmer against the ground wire in the junction box. - Does not require the use of a traveler wire between the the main dimmer and the remote dimmers in multi-way installations (this means that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to wire multi-way switches). - The dimmers seem extremely stable and have never lost their connection to my home wi-fi. After having struggled for a couple of years with my existing wi-fi dimmers, I am totally impressed with the Legrand product. I hope they continue to grow and expand their product offerings in this area!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helpful I have tried both the plug-in and in-wall devices from this company and while I like both products, I prefer the plug-in type for simplicity and portability. I had a bit of difficulty getting them to sync up with the app initially but after some troubleshooting, got it figured out. The compatibility with my Alexa devices was a must and they work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functionality and easy to install! This product was super easy to install and integrate with Alexa, the instructions in setting the Smart Switch with our home network were very easy to follow and everything was up and running in a manner of minutes. Being able to remotely control the lights is very convenient, you can also manually click it on or use the app which is great. It is also still able to be used as a normal switch. The Wi-Fi smart switch looks almost identical to the other switches in our home with the addition of a nice small cool white led to show the switch is off and helps find it in the dark. This was a great addition on our journey to a smart home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I tried... I received the Smart Try Universal Dimmer, WiFi, white from Try It Sampling. Myself and my spouse, who is a certified electrician, attempted to install the device in our bedroom, but without success. There were two pieces missing from the kit that are required to have the dimmer fully functional. There is no way I could 've even gotten that far alone, so this was an unsuccessful sample and I believe it would be for many people who aren't "certified" electricians. Thanks for the oppritunity, though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overpriced smart dimmer (smart not included) I've had this set up for a couple years and just never had a good experience, which recently got worse. These never displayed the correct status on Google home. I always assumed that was an integration issue that would eventually be resolved, but it never once worked. I learned to live with that though and could still turn lights on and off (and dim) from Google home, it just never remembered the status. For the record, it didn't display the right status in Smart Lights either. I contacted support a while back on this and got replacements, but it was more of the same issue. I waited and tested longer and tried contacting again, but never heard back. Now it's back to only functioning as a dumb switch (I also have the remote switches with these, and those are very flakey even as dumb switches, probably only work half the time). I still like the "dumb" Legrand receptacles and plan on continuing to use those where I can, but unfortunately I'll be looking elsewhere for smart receptacles in the future (and to replace these).

Questions & Answers

What does it mean if the red led is on.

Asked by: Darrell
A solid red LED on an LMSW (Digital Lighting Management Switch) typically indicates one of the following issues: Faulty Hardware or Connection Issues 🔹 A damaged LMSW switch, defective DLM cable, or a faulty room controller can cause the solid red LED. 🔹 Testing with another known working switch can help diagnose the issue. Troubleshooting Steps: ✅ Check the DLM Network Connections: Ensure all RJ45 cables are securely connected. ✅ Inspect the Room Controller: Make sure the LMRC is powered and functioning. ✅ Power Cycle the System: Turn Off and back On the breaker to recycle the room. ✅ Use a Different Port or Replace the Cable: If available, try another port or swap the cable to rule out a bad connection. ✅ Factory Reset the Switch: If needed, hold the configuration button for about 10 seconds to reset settings. ✅ Swap with a Known Working LMSW: If another switch works fine, the original may be defective. Call Wattstopper Technical Support: A technician can custom tailor a solution based on the specific issue being reported.

Asked by: Steven Schmelz
Hello, It sounds like we have three separate power packs, we can use one power packs red/blue/black and the other two packs we will cap the red 24v off and in parallel connect the blues and blacks.

Are these occupancy sensors exterior rated? If not, what occupancy sensors are?

Asked by: Enrica Cotellessa
The Wattstopper CI-305 is not exterior rated. For outdoor applications, I recommend looking into the FSP line of sensors, which are designed for outdoor use.

I have 3 occupancy sensors that do seem to shut off the lights when unoccupied. I see the red and green light flickering meaning we clearly have power.

Asked by: Serge St Pierre
The red and green are activity LEDs for the sensors, if the LEDs continue to flash when you stand still, then the sensor is likely false tripping. I suggest to start with placement, assure all sensors are 5-6' away from air supplies this is common to false trip the sensors causing lights to either stay ON or OFF.
