How do I turn off the timer function and just have it operate as a regular light switch? The instructions don’t say how to do that.
Performing a reset will achieve what you're looking for.
The RT-200 has a reset button located under the ON/OFF button. Press and release the reset button. The display will reset so that the Legrand logo appears as it does upon initial power-up. At this point, the date, time, location, and programs will have been reset.

I have programmed the switch for timed on and off (program 1), yet the screen continues to read manual even after 24 hours. Am I missing something?
The RT-200 will stay in MANUAL mode until the next scheduled event occurs. If this is not the behavior you are witnessing, please contact Wattstopper Technical Support @ 800-879-8585 for troubleshooting assistance.

I have programmed 3 programs (1,2,3 of 8 available) and want to use Prg 1 as the primary but the screen keeps showing Prg 2. How do I correct this? Thank you.

How do I get the timer back to program after manually turning off the lights? I have tried to reset it repeatedly but the timer still shows manual instead of prog. Thanks
There is nothing that needs to be done. The switch will automatically return to the program mode at the next scheduled trigger.

program loss on power interuption
Hi Rich,
In the event of a loss of power to the RT-200, the unit will maintain the correct time, location and settings for 72 hours.
