do you have to program the timer each time you turn it on or can you set the time once and just push ON day after day without reprograming the time?
The RT-100 retains the last programmed countdown time. Once you set the desired time, you do not need to reprogram it each time you turn the switch on. Simply pressing the ON/OFF button will activate the previously set countdown timer.

No, this device is intended for single pole applications only

Can this be used for a fan?
Yes, as long as the fan does not exceed the 1/6HP and 5A maximum ratings on the timer.
