Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MODERN LOOK!! I was given this product to install and review from the TryIt Sampling Community. Very easy to open and install. Looks very modern and stands out from other outlets in a good way. It also has some great features: childproof, shut off power if it malfunctions to prevent house damage, does self checks every three seconds, and has protection against electric shock. However, the two different outlets should be spaced a bit farther apart as some cords have bulky cord ends. In all, I would recommend this product but that small tweak should be made to make it perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad description Product may be great if i could install it. Apparently, the word "outlet" does not mean you are getting an outlet. You are getting only the "heart" of it. All other parts needed for the installation are extra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Merci Legrand Great product great looks best outlets switches on the America market, as this has proven itself in the EU as the MOSAIC switchen and outlet system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Know what you want to plug in. Same review as I provided for the GFCI outlet- know what you plan to plug in! The offset configuration will not always accommodate the "weird" plugs, so you may be able to use only one port at a time. Nonetheless, really beautiful look!

Questions & Answers

My existing outlet has 3 white wires (natural), and 3 black wires (which indicates HOT). Does it matter which 1 of the 3 black wires is installed by itself? Leaving the other 2 installing on the other side (2 hot terminal).

Asked by: JCHandy
Hello, The adorne outlet requires 1 - Hot wire and 1 - Neutral wire in order to function properly. I'd recommend testing the wires to confirm which wires are hot before connecting them to your device. If have any questions regarding your installation, please feel free to give our team a call at 844-957-3783. Thank you!

I have an outlet similar to the 3232TRW that has one of the two plugs controlled by a wall switch. I'm replacing it with ARTR152W4. I also have ARTR153W4. What is the correct way to wire the ARTR152W4? ARTR153W4? Please provide a diagram and/or pic?

Asked by: ASH
The wiring would be the exact same that you have on your existing receptacle and switch. You would need to remove the split circuit tab on the new adorne receptacle before installing(see image).

I've been involved in a renovation at an AC by Marriott. They are using part # ARTR152M4 Magnesium wall plates for electrical.. Do you have a single gang wall plate in Magnesium for a phone outlet wall plate and also a dual gang with date/coax.

Asked by: Anonymous
You would use the 1 Gang wall plate(AWP1G2MG6) and the data port frame(AC1PFM1). The port frames are available in 1, 2, and 4 port options: The phone jack is ACRJ25M1. AC2PFM1 - 2 port AC4PFM1 - 4 port They will accept any keystone data jack insert. https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/wall-plates/decorative/adorne-magnesium-one-gang-screwless-wall-plate/p/awp1g2mg6 https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/adorne-collection/connectivity/adorne-1-port-frame-magnesium/p/ac1pfm1 https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/adorne-collection/connectivity/adorne-rj25-keystone-phone-jack-magnesium/p/acrj25m1?text=acrj25m1 adorne products 1.844.957.3783 opt 1, opt 2 Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm EST (excluding holidays) Email Us - tech.support@legrand.us

What type of Wall Plate do I need for this? I understand that it is 1 gang, but I found two types of 1-gang plates (square and rectangular)

Asked by: Subrata
If you are converting old to new, then you probably need rectangular to cover up the box in the wall. If you have a new build, it would again be determined by the shape of the box in your wall--

These outlets were installed in a customers home. Around the plate is a black border and they are not recessed in the wall. Can they be recessed so that the black border is not showing?

Asked by: Laura
I believe you can special order a white on white plate. That would be the answer to this issue. Not sure why you’d want to recess an outlet plate.

I am not sure what you mean by split. I used in my kitchen adorne’s GCFI. They are lovely.

There is a frame shown on your installation instructions that needs to be connected to a ground wire and then attached to the box before this outlet gets connected and installed. Is that frame included with this outlet?

Asked by: F/64
The mounting frames for the adorne products are included with all of the adorne wall plates.

The outlet I am replacing has 6 wires, 3 white and 3 black. It relays to other outlets. How do I wire this? When I wired it the outlet worked, but the other outlets down the stream no longer worked.

Asked by: Terri
Your HOT(typically black wire) would be connected to one HOT terminal and your 2 remaining black wires that feed power toyour downstream receptacles would get connected to the other HOT terminal. Your 3 white wires can be pigtailed together can connected to the NEUTRAL terminal. Do not remove the brass tab between the 2 HOT terminals.
