I use your plugtail hospital grade outlets in all my patient rooms at hospital. I wanted to know as per your manufacture recommendations all the testing and maintenance requirements for these outlets. Thanks

Asked by: morgan russell
It's recommended to test your receptacles after initial installation, replacement or servicing of the device. But ultimately you'll need to verify with your local code authority as it relates to frequency and specific testing requirements.

Can you get the receptacles in color Yellow or orange That are Hospital grade tamper resistant? The reason is the yellow is to represent Life Safety; Orange is critical Branch circuits; Green is Equipment Branch.

What are your recommended testing intervals for your hospital grade receptacles?

Asked by: Michael
Thank you for our question regarding Pass & Seymour Hospital Grade receptacle(Model # 8300W). Per UL, our retention testing is done at time of manufacturing(see attached). There are many variables that can affect the testing intervals: - the (test interval) is typically determined by the healthcare facility's specs & standards - the amount of use & abuse will dictate (test interval) Please call us or email us for more information.
