Rated 1 out of 5 by from iPhone Compatible? I purchased two of the Adorne USB Outlet Modules, Titanium, APUSB3TM4. Neither works with iPhone or iPad.. Great design but pretty is not enough when it will not charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Qualified installer required To work with USB chargers you have to have a separate electrical feed to the track. It was my installer's fault it would not work with iPhone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works but slow. This charger works, but provides a surprisingly slow charge, especially to iPads. I would have thought a charger wired directly into the system would have provided a much more robust charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesnt install flush Would have never bought if I knew it didn't install flush with the rest of the track, if that doesn't matter to you product should be fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These unique products fill a need for modern homes We have enjoyed the under cabinet modules for ten years now. Trouble free and flexible use responds to modern family needs. My wife loves the ability to switch use and location of each outlet module. Being under cabinet, they keep the splash zone free of electrical devices and beautiful. Thanks to Adorne for being an early adopter of digital age kitchen devices.

Questions & Answers

so by all accounts it isn't flush and needs a separate feed inside the track so not a plug and play per the Legrand website which quotes: "the USB Outlet Module can be easily added or removed from the Modular Track by using the module tool"...true or no?

Asked by: Kswiss
These tracks have the correct wiring inside to provide power to the usb modules.  The supply wiring from the home to these tracks has to provide power to that usb power supply.  Just applying power to the light and plugs doesn’t apply power to the usb plug in.  I don’t recall that it has to be a separate power circuit to the breaker box but it can be powered that way. Then you’re able to plug in the usb power module or a power outlet module into any of the available points and the proper power supply is connected to the module. The power plug module is flush with the system but the usb module has some protruding part so looks different than the power module.  It protrudes about a 1/4 inch and is longer and wider a bit.

Where can you get the accessory wire to power the USB port?

Asked by: Rework
I've been able to get my USB port functional. It certainly is not plug and play. I could feel never power any device using it. Sorry.

Why do multiple Reviewers state this is not compatible with Apple or Mac products?

Asked by: PugetSoundMom
The USB port has to be wired to the accessory wire, separate from the lighting and outlet wires. The accessory wire is included. If it's not working, it's most likely the installer's fault, not the port itself. Our electricians had never installed this system before and we knew to tell them of this distinction because the lighting designer who sold us the system made a point of emphasizing it. Our's works great with all our IPhones.
