Features

  • Connects raceway, without offsetting, to any surface-mounted 3 1/4'' or 4'' (83mm or 102mm) outlet box with 1/2'' trade size conduit KOs.
  • Base has two 1/2'' trade size KOs, one on end and one on bottom. Included spring steel bushing eliminates need for conduit nipple and HICknut for end connection to box. When used with 700 Series Raceway, break off cover extension.

I have searched far and wide and have not been able to find a single description, photo or video explaining how to use the spring steel bushing supplied with your 5785 Combination Connector aside from a diagram on the package showing general location.

Good Afternoon- To install the bushing into the 5785 base you would have to insert the bushing thru the 5785 base and box. then snap the bushing in behind the knockout. The tab slides in first and it looks like the other end bends in for a pressure type fit. A locknut wouldn't be used with bushing.
